Our Kid's Fishing Derby, give kids an opportunity to get HOOKED ON FISHING! Our goal is to have each child leave the farm with the confidence that with a rod and reel, bait, and a body of water that have fish in it, there's a chance to provide their family with fish on the table.

 

We provide them with a rod and reel (that's provided by our many donors that purchase rods and reels for the KFD), a coach, lunch and the chance of catching fish.

 

We make sure that every kid has the best chance of catching a fish, by teaching them how to fish. We also teach them how to clean their catch and release fish that are not ready for harvest.

 

The best part of this event is getting them out of the house and on the water!

We are limited to 25 slots for kids between the ages of 2 - 12 years old and 5 slots for kids 1 - 4 years old, due to safety reasons. (Slots are filled)

Lunch is "Free" for kids 12 years old and under. Plates will be sold for everyone 13 years old and over.
